Overview
Castor oil comes from the Ricinus communis plant, the oil is cold-pressed from the seeds and has a yellow to light brown colour. Consists of Ricinoleic acid, Oleic acid, Linoleic, palmitic, and stearic acids. This chemical composition makes castor oil the perfect viscosity for use in cosmetics such as balms, deodorants, and lip balms.
Castor oil penetrates the skin easily because of its low molecular weight, and as such delivers the constituents into the skin when used as part of the castor oil pack routine.
